BLESSED Roger CADWALLADOR
BLESSED Roger CADWALLADOR was
born in Stratton Sugwas, in the County of Herefordshire. He was seminarian at
Rheims and in VALLADOLID, where he was ordained a priest the year 1593. For
sixteen years he exercised his priestly ministry, mainly in Herefordshire.
Condemned for being a priest, he was stripped, hung, drawn and quartered in
Leominster, Herefordshire, probably on the 27th of August 1610.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II, on the 22nd of November 1987.
