BLESSED Roger FILCOCK

BLESSED Roger FILCOCK (alias NAYLER, ARTHUR) SJ was born at Sandwich in Kent; he was seminarian at Rheims and in the Royal English College at VALLADOLID, where he was ordained a priest about the year 1597. Having already begun his Mission in England, he was admitted in the Society of Jesus. Condemned for being a priest, he was stripped, hung, drawn and quartered at Tyburn (London) on the 27th of February 1601.

Pope John Paul II beatified him, on the 22nd of November 1987.
