The
Royal College of St. Alban,
Valladolid was founded in
1589 for the training of
Catholic priests for the
English and Welsh Mission.
Candidates for the
Priesthood live in a
community environment and
are exposed to
spiritual-human formation.
This training prepares them
for seminary formation and
roots their faith in Jesus
Christ. |
|
|
Valladolid is the ancient
Spanish Capital of Old
Castile in the heart of the
country. Columbas and
Cervantes lived in the city.
The region, rich in culture
and history, is also the
spiritual home of Saint
Teresa of Avila and Saint
John of the Cross. |
|
The
college, as well as hosting
numerous cultural events, is
ideally suited to experience
the past and become immersed
in the present, to see
something of the wider
Church, a Church which is in
every sense "Catholic". |
